Ismani Sun
Ismani Sun and her family are the creative force behind the Sun Children’s Series. A lifelong artist, illustrator, and public art designer, Ismani created Ms. Imani to open magical pathways where children learn through storytelling, art, music, and culture.
The series was born from her desire to create the kind of programming she wanted her own children to grow up with, stories where they could feel seen, celebrated, and inspired. What began at home has grown into a joyful learning world designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and connection for families everywhere.
At the heart of the show is a simple belief: every child is brilliant, capable, and worthy of representation. Children’s imagination and wonder continue to guide each new adventure.

Kushaxi Sun
Kushakti Sun, Ismani’s creative partner, is a writer, director, and producer for the Sun Children’s Series. He writes the children’s books that shape the foundation of the franchise and helps bring the stories to life on screen through the show’s direction, character development, and imaginative play.
Kushakti originated the concept of Ms. Imani as a fairy from the magical land of Aziza, a guide who helps children learn through storytelling, art, music, and cultural discovery. His vision helps transform everyday lessons in math, reading, and history into vibrant adventures filled with wonder.
Passionate about creating meaningful representation and joyful learning experiences, Kushakti works alongside Ismani and their family to continue expanding the Show for children everywhere
